40's Twist Makeup Tutorial

Hey Everyone! So I have some exciting news, first off I have ootds planned for this week. Next, I finished my senior year and am graduating this week and the best thing: I have a new makeup tutorial post! This is a 40's inspired look, but I changed it up a bit and did an ombre lip. Hope you enjoy!

So here's some of the products I used:

I haven't been wearing foundation recently, but I have been using a light concealer around my nose and on my cheeks, basically anywhere there's redness. I used NARS Super Orgasm blush, Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, and my Hourglass Ambient Palette. Those are all the face products I used to create this look. I also used an Almay Eyebrow Pencil to give my brows some more definition. I especially wanted more definition and sharpness in the arch and the start of my brow. Which is why my brows aren't as dark in this look, but very defined.

I used my Mac Paint Pot in the color Groundwork as a base then applied Trick from Urban Decay across the lid. In the outer corners and crease I used Blackheart. I kept the shape very triangular to increase definition. I then used Nylon from Mac in the inner corners and on my brow bone. (The highlighting is key to this look.) I didn't use any liner and applied Mascara.

I did a very subtle ombre lip look here as well. Because it's summer I didn't want it too dark so I kept it very blended instead of having major definition. I used Media from Mac, Amsterdam from Nars, and Dragon Girl from Nars on my lips.

Here's the completed look!

Hope you enjoyed I'll be posting on Tuesday most likely with an ootd!
