Arab Inspired Valentine's Day Look

Hey Everyone! I really wanted to create a Valentine's Day look for you all. In my opinion, a smokey eye is always a great option for this day, but I get bored of the typical smokey eye. So I did an Arab inspired pink and purple smokey eye. This look could be worn during the day, or you could add falsies in the evening to make it more dramatic.

So the key to getting this look (or any Arab inspired makeup) is to use tape. I started off by applying regular scotch tape on the outer corner of my eye. If you're not sure what angle it should be at, just follow your bottom lash line up and take it to the end of your brow. Just adjust it from there to get the desired angle. After this, I used a primer across my eyelids. From my inner corner to the center of my eye I used Dust from the Naked 3 Palette. It's just a very light sparkly pink. From the middle to tape line I used Liar from the Naked 3 Palette. I then used Sketch from Mac in the outer corner. I applied this as you would normally in your crease. I did not take it out all the way to the tape.

Make sure to blend after using Sketch. This is a very soft, subtle smokey eye and besides the corner there should be no harsh lines. In the very center of my eyelid only, I used a Mac pigment in the color Rose. I then used sketch along my top and bottom lash lines. (Much like you would apply eyeliner.) I then used a grey eyeliner on my lower waterline and blended it out with Sketch. Lastly, I used Nylon from Mac in the inner corners to lighten the look up.

After all of this I applied my foundation. All of the Urban Decay colors seem to have massive amounts of fallout even when used with a primer.  I used a Mac Pigment too, and because it's so loose I would recommend foundation after eyeshadow. I then applied a soft cream blush and used a highlight under my eyes and on my cheek bone. Finally...Lipstick! I debated using red with this look, but decided on a bright pink. I used Funny Face by Nars, which is a gorgeous color. It's a bright pink but has metallic blue and purple shine to it. This makes it suitable for every skin color. It's a truly beautiful color and if you're looking for a new lipstick I highly recommend it.

Hope you all feel inspired now! If you try out this look, comment or IG me something! xx
